A 2 oz, 99.99% pure silver proof coin from the Royal Canadian Mint showing the Sun and Moon at the centre of a coloured night sky, circled by the 12 signs of the zodiac. Artist Steve Hepburn drew each sign as a classical figure, inspired by Greek sculpture, with its glyph and number.

Historical Significance

The zodiac has been used to mark the sky and the calendar for thousands of years. The Mint's case includes a special insert listing the dates and symbols of each sign. The obverse carries Susanna Blunt's effigy of Queen Elizabeth II with a special four-pearl marking. Worldwide mintage was 4,000.
