2022 Canada $30 2 oz Fine Silver Proof – The Red Knight (Coloured)

This 2 oz fine silver proof honours the Red Knight, the Royal Canadian Air Force's solo aerobatic performer. Coloured red jets fly over an RCAF roundel, with frosted white smoke trails against a mirror background. The obverse carries a laser-engraved pattern of the Red Knight helmet emblem.

Mintage was 6,500. It comes in its Royal Canadian Mint case with the certificate and outer box.

Historical Significance

From 1958 to 1969 the Red Knight flew more than 600 air shows across Canada and the United States, mostly in a T-33 Silver Star and later in a CT-114 Tutor. The program ended in 1970, but it's still a proud chapter in Canadian aviation.
