A hand-crafted Venetian glass bumble bee hovers over a finely engraved aster bloom on this 2012 $20 fine silver coin — one of the Royal Canadian Mint's most celebrated artisan collaborations. Each glass bee was individually crafted by Venetian glass master Giuliano Donaggio, meaning no two coins are exactly alike.

Struck in 99.99% pure silver with a proof finish, the reverse by Maurice Gervais renders the aster in botanical detail, with the dimensional glass bee affixed as if pausing mid-flight. It arrives complete in its original Royal Canadian Mint maroon clamshell case with serialized certificate of authenticity.
