1967 Canada Centennial Presentation Set with Sterling Silver Medallion – Red Leather Case (7 Pieces)

The Royal Canadian Mint's 1967 Centennial presentation set, issued for Canada's 100th birthday. Inside the red leather-covered case are all six dual-dated 1867–1967 coins, from the cent to the dollar, along with a sterling silver Confederation medallion.

The coins carry Alex Colville's much-loved wildlife designs: the rock dove, hare, mackerel, bobcat, wolf and Canada goose.

Historical Significance

For the Centennial, the Mint replaced every circulating reverse for a single year with Alex Colville's animal designs, one of the most popular series Canada has ever struck. This presentation set added a sterling medallion designed by Thomas Shingles, and 72,463 sets were issued.
